Films and shows
for VC firms

Fund films, founder stories, event films and podcasts for venture capital firms, venture studios and fund of funds. The partners own the story; we make it.

A 20-minute video call. We tell you what to make and how long it takes, then send a quote.

The short answer

We make the films and shows a venture fund needs: a film for each fund launch, founder stories from the portfolio, event and demo-day films, and a podcast or video series in the partners' own voice. For StudioK, a founder residency in Bengaluru that backs teams with up to $500K, we made the opening film, the founder films and the campaign around its launch. For Waterfield Advisors' Fund of Funds we filmed its 2026 Investor Day.

The partners decide what the fund stands for. We turn that into films founders and LPs actually watch, on a calendar the fund controls.

Why funds are publishing now

2025 was the hardest year to raise a venture fund since 2017. US firms raised $66.1 billion for new funds, down from $101.3 billion in 2024, according to PitchBook and the NVCA. In the same January, a16z announced $15 billion in new funds, and Harry Stebbings had raised 20VC's $400 million third fund in four weeks.

Both firms publish as seriously as they invest: a16z runs a media team, and 20VC began as a podcast. A smaller fund does not need a media company. It needs a few films that say clearly who it backs and why, in front of the founders and LPs it wants.

What we make for funds

  • A fund film. Sixty to ninety seconds on what the fund backs and why, released with the fund announcement and used in every LP and founder conversation after it.
  • Founder stories. Portfolio founders on camera, telling their own story. StudioK's residency films follow this format.
  • Event and demo-day films. One day of panels and pitches turned into a quarter of material, as with Waterfield's 2026 Investor Day.
  • A show. A podcast or video series hosted by a partner, with the reels cut from each episode.
  • Launch campaigns. For a new residency, accelerator or fund: an opening film, founder films and creator collaborations around launch week, as we ran for StudioK's opening.

Your voice, our production

Partners rarely want an agency deciding what the fund stands for, and they are right. We start from what the partners already say in founder meetings and LP letters, then turn it into scripts, shoots and edits. A partner's time on our work is one kickoff call and one round of notes per film.

For portfolio companies

We also make films for portfolio companies: launch films, funding announcement videos and product explainers. See launch and funding videos, the funding announcement examples we keep updated, and our work for deep tech companies.

Questions people ask

Do partners have to be on camera?

No, but the films work best with at least one partner who speaks for the fund. Founders and LPs want to hear from the person who will sit on their board.

Can you make a film for our fund announcement?

Yes. We plan it back from the announcement date, so the film, the cutdowns and the post are ready on the day.

Do you work with venture studios, accelerators and fund of funds?

Yes. StudioK is a founder residency and venture studio, and Waterfield Advisors runs a Fund of Funds; both are clients.

How do you handle portfolio information?

Nothing about a portfolio company goes into a film without that founder's sign-off, and nothing reads as a return promise to LPs.

Do you make content for portfolio companies?

Yes: launch films, funding announcement videos and product explainers.

What does it cost?

We quote after a 20-minute call, once we know what the film has to do.
