The short answer

An Instagram Reel from an Indian creator costs roughly ₹1,000 to ₹12,000 at the nano tier (1,000 to 10,000 followers), ₹8,000 to ₹80,000 for micro creators, ₹50,000 to ₹3.5 lakh for mid-tier, ₹2 lakh to ₹12 lakh for macro and ₹6 lakh to ₹25 lakh or more for celebrities (Grynow, 2026).

A UGC video, made for your ads rather than the creator's feed, costs about ₹1,000 to ₹45,000 depending on the creator's experience, with most testimonial and unboxing videos between ₹1,500 and ₹18,000.

What moves a quote

  • Usage rights. Reposting a creator's video, or running it as a paid ad, usually costs more. Agree the period and platforms in writing.
  • Exclusivity. Keeping a creator from working with competitors for a period adds to the fee.
  • Niche. Finance, tech and B2B creators charge more for smaller audiences, because those audiences are harder to reach.
  • Deliverables. A Reel plus Stories plus a YouTube Short is priced as a bundle.

Agency fees and campaign budgets

upGrowth's 2026 guide puts agency fees at ₹50,000 to ₹5 lakh per campaign, ₹1.5 lakh to ₹6 lakh a month on retainer, or 15% to 25% of creator spend, on top of what creators are paid. It sizes a consistent programme at ₹1.5 lakh to ₹25 lakh or more a month in creator fees and paid amplification, before agency fees.

Tax and disclosure

  • Disclosure. ASCI requires paid and gifted collaborations to be clearly labelled.
  • TDS. Section 194R applies to products creators keep, per upGrowth's guide.
  • GST. Registered creators charge GST on their invoices.
